Getslash is a company that is made up of many different teams, each with its own unique skills and expertise. These teams work together to create a cohesive and productive work environment, and each one plays an important role in the success of the company.
In this blog post, we will take a closer look at some of the individual teams at Getslash and learn more about what they do. We will also discuss how these teams work together to achieve common goals.
Project management
Our project management team is planning our projects right through their completion. They support our sales team in pre-sales situations regarding management and planning. Our project management is responsible for assembling a well-functioning project team and identifying and resolving problems early. Special attention is given to customer satisfaction and quality assurance. There is a daily exchange within the team to ensure successful communication.
Development & Operations
Our Development and Operation team is working together with our developers and project managers, to size the products to fit best to the needs of our customers. They prepare the infrastructure as code and deploy it on the vessels, remote or in a shipyard on-site all over the planet. One of the main tasks is to maintain the internal infrastructure starting from physical hosts or appliances, virtual machine platforms to a bunch of services like mail, ticket systems, knowledge database and internal communication hubs.
Backend
The backend team is a service provider for frontend, app & third-party users. This includes storing and providing data, as well as importing, processing, and standardizing data from third-party systems. Same as the other Getslash teams, the backend team has a daily meeting.
Frontend
The frontend team incorporates the data provided by the backend into the corresponding user interface. The goal is to create a usable guest interface with customer designs and branding. There is a daily exchange in the team, with additional meetings in related project phases.
App
Our app team is responsible for the development and representation on mobile devices. Therefore, they mainly deal with our product CruiseCompanion, and their presentation on Mobile, Nightstand, and the app. The team has been working together for many years and is therefore well-rehearsed. We are happy to have them in our team and are looking forward to new projects.
Testing
Our testing team works closely with the frontend and tests the designed user interfaces. It is also about testing new products, devices, customer-specific developments, and debugging. Creating various test cases as scenarios, configuring the systems, and documenting errors are also recurring tasks. The team is in daily exchange with the development team.
Sales, Product & Account Management
The team consists of sales, product design, and account management. Sales and Account Management is responsible for selling products and related services to customers. The primary goal is to acquire new customers and maintain the relationship with existing customers to keep them with the company for the long term. The product component is responsible for the design of the products developed and is led by a UI and UX designer. This team also holds regular meetings and has an additional weekly meeting with the marketing team.
Finance & Controlling
The Finance and Controlling team is the first point of contact for the tax office. They prepare the accounting documents, and controlling the monthly closings of all business accounts.
Human Resources
Getslash's HR Management is preparing job advertisements, organizing application procedures to recruit new employees, and acting as a point of contact for the company's employees. Daily tasks include maintaining personnel files, correspondence within the company and with the tax office, and planning team events. The HR team ensures that employees are working efficiently and constantly analyzes where there is room for improvement.
Marketing
Getslashs Marketing is the management of the brand itself; they are responsible for public relations and increasing the quality and quantity of leads. By analyzing customer behavior, the team adjusts posts, and advertising materials. Our marketing team meets daily for internal agreements and once a week to plan all the next steps.
Top Management
Our top management team is made up of the CEO and the CTO. It is the highest management position and is responsible for corporate strategy, the smooth running of operational processes, the management of employees, and external and internal negotiations. They have interfaces throughout the company and try to get an overview of the current topics by holding regular meetings with the individual teams. Ensuring that technologies are used efficiently, profitably, and securely is also the responsibility of the CTO. Just like the assessment and introduction of new systems and infrastructures. Our executive managers also meet weekly for internal consultations.
As you can see, the individual teams at Getslash are all essential to the success of the company. Each team has its own unique set of skills, and they all work together to create a functional workflow.
